Tiling on the Gold Coast comes with challenges most inland areas don’t face. In beachside strips like Surfers Paradise and Mermaid Beach, salt air and constant humidity mean grout and adhesive choices matter more than usual, particularly in high-rise units and apartments where waterproofing to balconies and wet areas needs to be right the first time. Around Burleigh Heads and Palm Beach, we regularly work on renovations to older beachside homes alongside newer builds, often balancing character features with updated, low-maintenance tiled finishes.
